It's a New Day

Tuesday, November 30, 2004

Hm. I was searching to see if any bands I want to see are coming to this area anytime soon. Didn't find any so far, but I did find that something called "Menopause the Musical" is playing. Interesting.

blah. Better day than yesterday, but I was totally out of it. Felt like I got 0 hours of sleep, which is weird, since I got more sleep last night than the night before, but Monday I didn't feel nearly as tired. hm. whatever.

...I don't really feel like going through today either, though, since nothing of any significance happened, and I was dead all day anyways.

gah. I want it to be past 9 pm. -____-

uhhhh. I have an AP US test on Thursday and in-class AP US essay on Friday. Not really dreading either [though not exactly looking forward to it], which is kind of odd for me, but I've been feeling pretty apathetic lately. Slacking off, too. gah. I just don't care, though. x____x

Monday, November 29, 2004

Bad day. Blah. Don't feel like going through it again -____- And I have a lesson to look forward to! oh. joy. x_____x roar.

I am so tired. gack.

Sunday, November 28, 2004

Spectrummed with Annie and Tiffany and got a new My Chemical Romance shirt. ooh and we saw Ruben and he gave us hugs and crayons and things to color on and me and Tiffany free cokes. ...well mine was SORT OF a refill. But it was free. So shut up.

thennn. CONCERT. >:O man. so awesome. I wasn't really looking too forward to it... but fuck it was amazing. ahhh but it sucks for Tiffany :( awwww.

anyways. Got there around... 4:45ish. It was semi-drizzling and cold :( Then some of the members of Never Heard Of It came around with CDs and listening to things and two came over to me and I was proud to be able to say I already had that CD and another :D One of the guys gave me a high five but went on, but then another gave me a high five and a fist... thing and talked a little more to the people in front of us and us... a little. It was cool! :D I wanted to ask him to sign my shoe or something, but... I didn't. My legs were kind of shaking 'cause I was nervous. I don't know why. I guess it's just a thing, when it's like... I don't know. They're not even famous or anything, but my legs were still shaking and myheart was all "beatbeatbeat!" Next time I see them, I'll be all "You guys rock, I used your songs in one of my slashy fics. You know, it's like... a story about two guys in a band getting all together and stuff and it's "fiction" but come on, we all know it's true. Oh, but don't worry, it wasn't about you. I can write one about you, though, if you want! :)" hahaha that would rockkk.

Then the girls in front of us starting saying how like 95% of the girls here had only heard Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard and knew nothing else or even what One For the Kids was, and then they saw me and Tiffany watching them and they were all "...no offense" and then we were all "oh no no, we agree with you, trust us," and I was all "I had One For the Kids before Ocean Avenue even came out. I just... found it randomly in a CD store, listened, and liked it." They were pretty cool, but one of the girls paid $700 for backstage passes, which is pretty crazy. Though... it would've been nice to have backstage passes. They left the line or disappeared sometime during the wait.

Uh otherwise the wait was boring. We called people, but... it was cold. Oh, and earlyish into it I called my dad for trashbags because it started raining harder and he brought them and it was warmer and dryer :)

Ok, so the gates opened right on time, at 6:30, and it was cool because the line wasn't too long, so it didn't take very long for us to get in. Then we both went up into the pit and were about... 4/5 row. They didn't have people sitting down like usual. A lot of the people around us were stupid. This one girl was freaking claustrophobic. Like. Dude. Don't go in a pit if you're claustrophobic. Duh. I mean, maybe she's never been a pit before, but I still don't feel bad for her at all. geez, have you not see concerts before? I'm sure she has. And even not, she saw how it was. Like... they're not going to make room for you. Everyone int he pit is selfish [unless someone dies. Then you help them up]. They don't care. So... just... leave. They were throwing CD things out from the record label of like... the first band, or... someone... anyways people were reaching and stuff and when pepole were they were all concentrating on the CDs and so Tiffany and I managed to squeeze up to the third row. skill~. There was a girl in front of us who had like... a space for an entire person in front of her, and she kept pushing back at Tiffany, and then later, me. We also got in front of the claustrophobic [...I think I'm spelling it wrong, but it's 12:47 AM right now and I'm tired and want to sleep but want to get this all out while it's still fresh so... I'll probably have horrible grammar and spelling errors and typos running around everywhere, but I'm waaaay too exhausted to deal with them] girl and her friend. Well, Tiffany did, and I squeezed into where Tiffany was. The CG's [claustrophobic girl, shortened. And I Just typed it out, so that defeated the purpose. I'm like, so smart :)] friend pointed at Tiffany and made a "OMG who does she think she is, cutting in front of us?!?!?!?!" face to the CG, and the CG made an "OMG! I knoooowww!!!!!1!1" face. I was then behind the Girl Who Left Space For A Person In Front Of Her [the GWLSFAPIFOH, for short. heh. not very short.] and she continued to push back into me.

About then, the first band came on. They were called Hey Mike, and purevolume lists them as a rock/pop-punk/punk band. I think they're mostly pop-punk. They were actually good, especially for an opening band. I remember liking their first song a lot. uhhh I never heard of them before tonight, so I can't list what songs they played. But it wasn't bad. The pit was pretty lame, but... oh well. the GWLSFAPIFOH ended up leaving the pit pretty early in [Tiffany and I had tried to predict whether she would leave or not before Hey Mike came on. It was amusing] which was good. Or maybe it was nearer the end. I don't know, they didn't play very many songs. During the band, I told Tiffany to try to go right when she had like... room or people pushed her, into the space in front of the GWLSFAPIFOH [hee that osunds funny if you say what the letters stand for. well to me. shut up, I'm like... high] and she did and I managed to squeeze in, so I was 2nd row behind these two girl who were pretty annoying. But I could see really well. After that was when the GWLSFAPIFOH left. Hey Mike left after like... 5 or 6 songs.

Then Days Away came on. They're more emo-ish. They weren't too bad, but I think I actually liked Hey Mike a little better. I think Hey Mike were better performers. uhhh... I don't think there's anything to say about them. Stayed in the same spot, 2nd row. Ooh and I didn't mention, I was directly center. It was awesome. Usually when I get far up, I'm like... to the left or right, but I was like directly center 2nd row. aaawesome.

Ok, so Days Away left after... a few more songs than Hey Mike. The two girls in front of me seemed to be all into Starting Line, so I hoped they'd leave. While we were waiting [...I think it was while we're waiting] a girl in front of Tiffany, at the barricade got out, and she managed to sneak through so she was front row. While I was all "maaaan I want to be at the barricade!" in my head, one of the girls of the two in front of me and the girl to the left of her got out one after the other, leaving me room to squeeze in, front row. wheee! And, again, center. Awesome. It was me, some random girl, Tiffany. Oh, and during Days Away, I saw Kenny [lead singer of The Starting Line] on the side singing along to all the songs and he was singing to this girl next to him a lot and he kissed her once or twice [...so I'm figuring she was his girlfriend and not some random groupie. 'Cause, like, they weren't like.. making out. Just some quick kisses] and they were actually really, really cute together. She didn't look like... totally normal scene girl, I guess? I don't know. But they looked good together. Of course, he'd be totally cuter with another guy but... you take what you can get.

Then Starting Line came on. They played [random order] Up and Go, Given the Chance [I think], Leaving, Best of Me, A Goodnight's Sleep, Almost There Going Nowhere, Cheek to Cheek, Hello Houston [I think], Left Coast Envy, and maaaaybe The Drama Summer. Plus 3 brand new songs from the new CD that's coming out next like... April [one of them was called Bedroom Talk and Kenny said it was about fucking :)]. man. I was looking most forward to The Starting Line [since i've already seen Yellowcard twice, and I'm kind of burnt out from their CD, and I've never seen TSL live], and they totally didn't disappoint. They were so fucking kickass. Man. geez, I don't really have words. Totally better live than on the CD [though that's true of a lot of bands. But there are some that are actually worse live than on their CDs. Not so many, but some]. geeeeez. During one of the songs [I can't remember which one], the lead singer of Days Away and the violinist of Yellowcard, Shawn, came up and both sang. It was aaaawesome. And before Shawn left, Kenny [lead singer, TSL] kissed him on the cheek, and then they hugged after that. It was aaaawesome. heh. I say that a lot. Anyways. al;skfjlk geez. great.

blah, at the second to last song of the set, I saw Tiffany raise her hand and I thought she was like... pointing someone else out to be pulled out, but then I saw her being lifted out and her eyes were like closed and she looked dead and I was all "...whoa. What happened to Tiffany? O__O" but they took her right and I was to the left of her, and so all I saw was them helping her go down, I couldn't see wehre she went or ask her if she was ok. Couldn't call, either, 'cause... dude, song, loudness, music, duh. So after TSL went off, I tried to call her, but people were talking and it was loud, so I just kind of said hello a lot and told her if she was there to talk louder 'cause I couldn't hear. I think her message picked up [and I called like.. twice]. heh. So Tiffany, if you have a message of me saying Hello a lot... that's why.

mm so during the wait for Yellowcard [and dude, the wait between bands wasn't long at all. Geez, the time between Days Away and TSL was only like... 15-20 min, which is usually all the time it takes to set up for opening bands. Nice] this guy ended up behind me. He was like... a head taller than me [his chin started at the top of my head], and he was awesomely [awesome's an awesome word. shut up >:O] nice. I was still at the barricade, btw. I had stayed front row center all throughout TSL. awesome [ok I really need a wider vocabulary. Or a thesaurus]. Anyways, he had like... his left arm past my left side and his right arm past my right side. ...kind of like the annoying couples that are in pits and protect each other, except he wasn't holding on to me, his arms were just... out, and one of my arms was out [the other was protecting my boobs from the barricade. 'cause... ouch. it can hurt >:O. oooh I hope the marks I got from the barricade on my hand are still there on Monday so I can show them off :D the skin got kind of irritated from moving back and forth a lot] and... yeah. Anyways, I felt something with my foot and I wanted to see what it was, so I backed up slightly and looked down, but he got all concerned and was all "Are you ok?" and I was all "Oh, yeah, I was just seeing if I dropped something" which wasn't entirely true, but it was... the first thing that came to my head. And I was perfectly fine. So yeah. He didn't look too reassured. Anyways. He was a really Awesome Guy, and I'll talk about him a little more when I go into Yellowcard's set, so I'll stop there. And refer to him as AG, short for Awesome Guy, because I am totally creative like that.

So, Yellowcard came on. Off "Ocean Avenue", the 2nd CD, they played [random order] Way Away, Breathing, Ocean Avenue, Life of a Salesman, Empty Apartment, Only One, View From Heaven, Believe, and Back Home [I think that's all]. For "One For the Kids", their first CD, I'm not entirely sure of what they're played, so... some of these might not be accurate, and I might be missing some. so. they played Something of Value, Trembling, Cigarette [awesome, my favorite off this CD :D], For Pete's Sake, A.W.O.L., Rough Draft. From the Underdog EP, they played Rocket, Finish Line, and Powder for sure. I'm not sure about the others, but I think that's all they played from that.

Ok, so I wasn't looking forward to Yellowcard too much, but man... they were good. I forgot how amazing they were live. They really are. geez. So much better live than on the CDs. really. ahhhhh. They got on at 10:10. I checked when they got on, just to see, and then put my watch in my pocket, where it had been before too, because my hand would get all gr if I kept my watch on 'cause it's in the way and all. I figured the concert would be over by about... 11:00-11:15. Anyways. I'll come back to that. ahh, it was awesome all throughout Yellowcard, because I stayed at the barricade, mostly center. Got moved slightly to the left, but not much. It was awesome though, because, since AG was a head taller than me, any crowdsurfers that came, he would put his arms up to help immediately, and so they'd alwyas pass over me and I wouldn't have to do a thing. ahhh. dude he asked me like... at least 5 times whether I was ok. It got rather amusing after awhile. "Are you sure you're ok?" "Yeah, I'm absolutely fine!" "...your'e sure?" "Yes!" bah. doesn't sound amusing. it was >:O I wanted to be all "dude, this is my 11th concert. I can handle it." But it was loud, so he wouldn't be able to hear it, and besides, it was nice having someone protecting me and making sure I was all right and not letting crowdsurfers hit my head. the first time he asked, I thought he just like... wanted my spot, so he was seeing if I was ok, and if I wasn't, he could like encourage me to leave. But then, he could see over me perfectly, so I don't think that was it. I think he was just nice. He helped a bunch of people behind and around him out, too. And I was all "geez he's nice" when he was all concerned about me, and then I was all thinking "hm. He could be a crazy molestor and is trying to lull me into thinking he's this nice 20-year old dude, but in all actuality he just wants to feel me up, or like rape me. In... the middle of the pit." But he never molested me [and trust me, it's easy to do it even accidentally int he pit] and he always made sure his hands weren't in my way and stuff. And I'll stop going on about him. But it was awesome. Hence why he is called Awesome Guy. ANYWAYS. done.

So Yellowcard left, but the lights stayed off and everyone was shouting "ONE MORE SONG!" and so of course they came back on [dude, last concert of the tour, of course they'll come back on! This is why I love last tour dates on tours. They did that at the GC concert last November, too, came back for several songs because it was the last date] and they played... er... I forget, but it wasn't off One For the Kids or Ocean Avenue. It might've been one off the EP, or... some other random one. Probably from the EP. it was pretty :) Then they were going to only play one more song, really and truly, but this kid like... broke her leg or got hurt or something, and Shawn, the violinist saw, and was all "Hey, move out so she can get out, give her room" etc. and it was really nice, but like it was taking a little bit so they were all "Ok, you know what? We'll do something we've never done on this tour before, and play an extra song!" and everyone was all "WHOOOOOO!" so I'm thankful that kid got hurt, even though... that's kind of mean. But it was good for all of us :) So then... then... they played Cigarette! My favorite off the first CD. :DDD After that they played Ocean Avenue, and then it was finally, finally over.

However. During the end of Cigarette, during the slow part, I decided to check what time it was, 'cause I could feel it getting late. Still, I didn't think it was too late, probably around 11:00-11:10. It wasn't. It was 11:51. I was all "oh, FUCK" really loudly, because I had lost track of time and usually concerts are over by 11:00 or 11:15 and I was sure my mom was there and I was feeling bad, so I called my house to check if she had left or not, and my dad said she had. It was hard to hear, though, so I explained that the concert was still going, they had the end of that song and one more to go, and it was loud and could he please call her and let her know? And I hung up and he did, and so then I went through Ocean Avenue and then... it was over and we all started leaving. oh dude, but Ryan, the lead singer, gave the guitar he was using to someone int he front row, and it was only 2 people down from me! ahhh if I hadn't moved to the left, I so would've gotten it! how awesome would've that been? oh well.

Anyways, so as I was leaving, I started to call Tiffany to see where she was, because I hadn't seen her in the pit or crowdsurfing or anything, but she had looked pretty dead early, so I thought maybe she had just watched the rest from the seats or something. But as I was calling, I got a call from my mom, and I told her that I was just leaving but I still had to find Tiffany and all but I'd call her as soon as I was out. Before I called Tiffany, a little thing popped up that pops up on my cell phone saying I had 1 voicemail, but I didn't listen to it because I figured it was my mom calling to see what was going on, or even an old message from Annie. so then I called Tiffany and she answered but I was walking through with a lot of people and it was loud so it was kind of hard to hear her. But I was all "So where are you?" and she replied "At home!" And I was all "...what?! O___o" but she sounded... undead, which was good. She explained that crowdsurfer kicked her and all and she died and stuff and got out of the pit, like I saw, and she passed otu momentarily, but she saw Kenny briefly with his girlfriend and said hi! and... other stuff like that. You can read about it in her blog, 'cause.. she knows what happened better than I do, obviously. But yeah, she was home, so after trying to listen to what happened [it was really loud -____- and my ears were dead from the speakers] I hung up and bought a new The Starting Line sweatshirt [yaaaaay!!! and it's not too small like the TBS hoodie or too large like the The Used hoodie. It's a good size. I'm wearing it now! :)] and then called my mom and met her outside and explained what happened to Tiffany, as far as I could hear. She was first all "Are yo usure she's home" and I was all "...well I didn't stop by her house to check, but I'm assuming" and then she was all semi-concerned that Tiffany's mom would be grrr about concerts in the future 'cause she kind of died and had to go home, and... yeah, that's it.

ahhh. Awesome. Really. I wasn't looking forward to this concert, but it ended up kicking muchos ass. geez. :DDDDDDD and holy fuckola!!!! first time at the barrier. I've been kind of at the barrier before, like... my hip or whatever, but never completely totally in front of the barrier, first row, and never center, either. so perfect. maaaan I wish I'd brought a camera! Next concert, I am. No amtter what. I mean, it's not like I have to use it. If I'm at a crappy position, then I'll just... not take pictures. If I get to the barrier again, then I will! :) ah but yes. Fucking kickass concert. :DDDD

concerts make me so happy :D Let's go to another! ...right now! wheeeee!

ok this is long enough.

rar. wasn't too bad. reeeeally cold, though. >:O and I'm tired. I was shivering at the end. The dining room is cold.

but mmm. pumpkin pie with whipped cream.

It was awful, this morning, though, 'cause my body is set for school, and so I woke up at around 6:30 and then I kept waking up repeatedly. >:O rar.

rar. Someone buy me "Kevin and Bean's Christmastime in the 909" CD. >:O It's only available at Best Buy, so I can't just get it next time I go to spectrum. It's only $5! [pleading look] eh, I should just ask my mom to take me to Best Buy so I can buy it sometime.

roar.

hm.

  • The dining room table is set for 5. My family only has 3 people.
  • My my wants me to clean the family room at 1 pm.

...it'd be more complete if I had a third point. Oh well. In any case, this seems to indicate that my aunt and her... Brett [I have no idea what they are -____- He wouldn't come with her to all family crap if they were just roommates (I know they live together) and friends, but they're definitely not married and they never seem like they're romantic or dating or whatever] are coming over for dinner. blah. Thanks for mentioning it to me, parents x___x They don't usually come over, which is why I wouldn't assume they would. Two years ago they didn't come over [...we didn't even have Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving, but that's for another reason entirely], last year they didn't come over, and before that my grandmother was alive and we all went to her house. blah. I don't want them to come over. My aunt's all right, but she can be rather grating, and Brett is rather condescending and annoying. gah. Isn't Christmas enough? -_____-

    sigh.

hm. I've been really into soft, slow, more emo [more emo than emo!] music recently. And like... more so than usual. Like, so much, that I have the urge to listen to Sarah McLaughlan.

...yes. totally random. I'm just in a blogging mood. Every 5 seconds I'm all "hm, I should blog about such and so!"

    Anyways.

so looking forward to being able to sleep in tomorrow :D

Earlier while watching The Strip [second to last episode of S1 The O.C.]:
Me: ooooh dude this is the episode where Ryan is all with the poker and the trucker-hat dude with the card!sharkRyan stuff and then it turns out the dude's an old friend of Ryan and helps him out of a bind and crap!

    Later in the Episode:
Me: hm... I forget when they show that part. But it's a really awesome part! It's one of my favorite scenes of the episode.

    Episode Ends:
    Me: [totally forgot about scene]

    5 Minutes Ago:
Me: [reading TWOP crap about The O.C., someone mentions cardshark!Ryan and the episode] holy crap! That scene that I was remember wasn't in the episode! >:O They wouldn't have taken out a scene, right? [pauses, waits a few seconds] ...wait a second... O____O;;; that part about the trucker-hat dude being an old friend of Ryan and his brother and helping him out of the cash bind he's in wasn't in this episode! It was in a fanfic I read! holy crap! x________x

...I'm kind of pathetic. -_____- rar.

Well... it was a very well-written fic. >:O

...uhhh. I'm too lazy. And it was awhile ago. rar. Only important stuff, I got a 74 on my science test but somehow my grade still managed to raise to a 88.0 [from a 87.7], quote test wasn't bad except the one quote I thought was to Alice except it was to Carrie but like everyone else I heard put Alice too so maybe she won't be too hard on us? -___-, math quiz was a lot easier than I expected, and music we spent numbering our concert music.

then... home and I finished my DVDs. The finale was somehow a lot better this time. I think last time, the first time I watched it, I was just expecting so much more, but this time I got to like... watch it without the expectations. Kirsten still makes me cry at the end where she breaks down in the pool house. And when she asks Ryan if she learned to cook, would it make him come back? awwwww. I <3 Kelly Rowan. awesome. ahhh DVD extras were aaaawesome. Totally worth the money. Deleted scenes! Kirsten/Ryan videogaming scene!!!! eee!!!! :DDD finallyyyyy.

...yes. awesome. My afternoon was fun :)

haven't taken a nap yet. Maybe later. rar. Or typed up my fic. later! I have all day. wheeee.

tonight's my dad's birthday. woosh. He's turning 55. My mom turned 55 in July, even though like nobody believes she's that old. [random]

la;ksjd rar why is the heat never on in my room? -_____- sigh

    Tuesday, November 23, 2004

so freaking tired. ahhh more than usual. no clue why -___- bah. need sleep.

    French: uhhh. stuff. Oh, I remember some! We did a group thingy where we answered questions and stuff. ahhh I hate that we can't choose groups -_____-;;;

Science: test. The first 60 questions were absolutely fine. I studied mostly off the practice test sheet, and like... the majority on the practice test were on the test. So I was all "hm, only a few I'm not so sure of, if this keeps up, I could totally get a B, and maybe even an A!" ...and then I got to the last 10. And I didn't know a single one of them. -___- worst part is, I went to blackboard last night when studying to see what types of questions he had up and the last 10 were up -____- but I was all "oh, he wouldn't ask this/I don't need to bother/whatever" and didn't study it. ahhhh if only I had studied it -_____- ahhh. oh well. Let's hope I'm a good guesser! he did the same thing Heffernan did for that one test last year, where there are multiple answers and you choose all that fit, but the answer choices go past "e" to "ab" and "ac" and such, and so the answer could be something like "abc" for "a", "b", and "c" separately, but someone thinks the answer is "ac" and "b" and still gets it right, even though they didn't. bah.

English: Watched a video. Kind of interesting. Nice non-thinking period.

AP US: notes. Oh, and our grades start over this quarter [then he adds first and second quarter grades, multiplies it by 2, and then the final is the last 20% of the grade] and with the last test, my grade is currently a 76. al;ksjf;lkaj -_____- First quarter, A- [91/92ish], 2nd... 76 so far. I need at least like... a B second quarter [but I'd have to ace the final, then] or a B+ to get an A first semester -____- man I need to study better.

    Algebra 2: notes. work. whatever.

Wind Ensemble: went crazy and everyone sat in different seats. It was kind of cool. I like how her run-throughs involve us stopping ever 5 measures.

ahhh. must finish Kindred -____- thankfully not much other homework.

    rar.

    Stuff to Look Forward To:
Wednesday: Half-periods, half-day. I'm going to go home, take a nap for 2 hours, type up the fic I wrote Friday night/Saturday morning that I haven't typed up yet, finish my O.C. DVDs, finally watch the SP DVD on the CD that I've had for like a month now, and sleep some more. awesome. ahhh I guess people are doing the stuff for Justin's thing tomorrow afternoon? Andrew said? blah, I don't really feel like going, though. I just kind of want to stay home and have my exciting afternoon.
Thursday: Pumpkin pie with whipped cream. ah. My favorite part of Thanksgiving [...how sad]. ooh, and sleeping in late! awesome.
Friday: ...I think Tiffany and I are working on our science project. Probably. yes? ...that's not really something to look forward to -____-
Saturday: Spectrumming with Annie and Tiffany in the morning [al;kf finally get to see Annie for more than 5 minutes! geez] and then Starting Line/Yellowcard concert in the afternoon/night.

wheeee. cool stuff each day [...yes, pumpkin pie with whipped cream solely makes Thursday a fun day] except Friday.

a;lsfk tired! >:O looking forward to tomorrow, though. past 3rd period. 'cause ew. quote test. Everytime she reminds us that only like 1 person every year each period gets a 75, I can't help be all "...that's so going to be me." bah. Even though I am reading the book. I'm so horrible at quote tests, though. man, I wish it was just like... speaker. i can do that much. usually. alkjsflkj sigh. And it sucks, because it's a freaking 40 points and if I miss one that's automatically a C and... that's a lot of points. alkjfkl rar.

    sigh.

    Monday, November 22, 2004

rar. I want the goddamned $28 Bun-Bun stuffed animal. >:O huge waiting list for it, though. But I still want it. rar.

oh my fucking god why is it so COLD in here?! >:O!!! I don't understand why my mom won't turn the freaking heat on x__________x geeez. I'm wearing a sweatshirt and jeans and socks and I'm absolutely freeezing -___- it's colder inside than outside >:O

ahhh I don't know why I'm bothering to study for the science test. It won't do any good. Even when I do study my ass off, I end up getting like, a B-. Or a D. Geez, the last quiz, I barely studied at all, and I got a like... 93 on. man. Maybe that's the key. I think I guess better at the questions when I don't know like... anything. I'm weird.

a;skfalksjfdlkj I really don't want to go to my lesson.

    man am I exhausted -____-

French: rar. I was like... half-awake. Don't remember.

Science: errr boring stuff, I believe.

English: corrected Crucible tests. I got a 60/64 which brought my grade up to a 92.3. Nice.

    AP US: notes.

    Algebra 2: homework. notes.

    Wind Ensemble: music.

yes, we've gotten far enough into the school year, that every class seems the same -___- ahhhh so tired.

mm, I'm so smart, instead of studying for my science quiz or reading my outside reading book for English [quiz on it Wednesday], I watched The O.C. DVDs. I got pretty far, too, but there's still a good... 10 episodes left. bah. Won't have time to watch them till like Wednesday night, because tonight is studying for science quiz because I know nothing and lesson [...I really really don't want to go to my lesson. besides the normal crappiness of it, I know he'll ask if I worked on the music and I didn't and last weeka nd the week before I had excuses, but i really don't this week, and my mom's in the room so I can't lie because she'll be all "HEEEEYYYY I NEVER HEARD YOU PRACTICE!!! >:O" -____- whatever. it's not like I want to be going there anyways. I have better things to do with the hour and a half my lessons waste.] and tomorrow I have to finish my outside reading book [...3 hours plus. -_________-;;;;;;; crap.]

sooo tired. I really want to take a nap -____-

OMGOMGOMG!!!!! they're playing the new Senses Fail single on KROQ!!!!! eeeeeeee!!!!

    man I love KROQ.

Went spectrumming with Tiffany and bought The O.C. Season 1 on DVD. expensive, but totally worth it [plus, it was on sale! slightly].

Man, I forgot how good The O.C. was the first 6 episodes. Especially the first 3. That trilogy of Ryan and how he finally came to stay with the Cohen's is just so... wow. Especially The Gamble. man, I totally forgot how amazing that episode is. So heartbreaking, especially when Dawn comes out all made up and pretty for the night and how excited Ryan's becoming and it's all so sweet but I know that it's going to be ruined and she'll fuck everything up, and I knew it even before I saw the entire episode, and it's just so bittersweet and just so perfect. ...man, I need some friends who watch The O.C. Well, Lulu does [...right?] but I don't think she's actually seen all the episodes, just like... read episode guides and such. ah and even past the first three, The Debut? The Outsider? The Girlfriend? geez. So solid. Man, really, all the episodes are incredibly solid until... well, Oliver, pretty much. Specifically, the All About Rooney Infomerical episode. Although technically, you could even say as early as The Homecoming, the slight ruination of Seth [though I still liked him through that, because I could totally understand his motivation. ahhh another great thing, I can see all the sides (...unless we're dealing with Marissa. Because she just sucks) of everything because of the awesome writing]. And you could even go as early as The Escape, with the Holy Carrying of Marissa after her overdose. But even then... it was still good. Really, it didn't really decline until the Rooney episode, which is definitely, IMO, one of the worst [or... the worst] episode of the series. But once Oliver was gone, it picked up again. Ahhh The Heartbreak, and The Telenovela. ahhhh. And Teresa ruined it a little, but not nearly as much as Oliver, and it was still good. The end of the season closed with a bang [...well, an emotional bang]. but man, in comparison... I've been thinking that the season so far is good, but in comparision with early season 1... geez. So perfect back then. I have a feeling it'll pick up [it already did with the third episode of this season. The first episode was a little lackluster, but it was mostly due to putting everyone back in their place so everything could be fixed and returned to the way it was] again and regain its steam.

...man. seriously. Watch The O.C. I need to discuss it with people >:O

ah and it was good, because my mom kind of made a bad comment before on The O.C. well not really, but like... well we were having this conversation:

Me: [preview for The LAX comes on] Man, what's with the need for all the shows about Southern CA? Is it really that awesome? I mean, this, and 90210...
Mom: yeah. Oh, and The O.C. It's ridiculous.
Me: Hey, that's actually a good show >:O I watch that. Really great writing. well... there have been some bad points... like this guy who went through drug rehab who ended up going psycho over this girl who's a horrible actress as it is and ending up pulling a gun on her but instead of threatening to shoot her, threatening to shoot himself, and then the girl's ex-boyfriend coming to the rescue and talking through the door so he wont' shoot himself even though they hate each other and...
    Mom: ...right. Sounds... genius.

but I got to explain it more, when I told her I bought it. That like... it is really intelligent, especially the beginning of the season. How like... there are the rich older people and how the women are so superficial and artificial and how it's kind of... commentary on them in a sense, and she even walked in and watched this scene with the Newpsies and their talking about this event and she laughed while watching it, and I explained how like... Josh Schwartz, the creator, came from the East Coast and went to college at USC and it's kind of his perspective on everything through Ryan, who comes as another outsider, and it's actually a very intelligent show. and... yeah. She seemed to get it more. Plus, I explained that it was cool to hear the names of places like South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island and see locations I know and all that stuff. so yes.

I'm so obsessed. But it's seriously one of the best shows on television these days [...not that that's saying much]. man, Marissa was even tolerable those first few episodes.

ahhhhhh. [content] Too bad I have homework and a science test to study for tomorrow. Won't have time to finish the DVD. Only got to episode 6, and there are 27 total episodes. I guess I'll have to try to finish it next weekend. well, it's a 4-day weekend, so it should be all right.

    wheeee :D

    :DDDDDDD

    new layout.

adore the graphic for this. holy fuck. Best graphic I've made for a layout yet, I think [...not that there aren't a bunch of things I'd want to fix about it. but. still].

This Layout: My Chemical Romance! Favorite band of the moment and have been since like... late August. uhhh when I started a new layout Wednesday, it was going to be light blues and feature favorite ships [...like... relationships, not... boat-type ships] of mine [Jaye/Eric, Wonderfalls; Seth/Summer, The O.C.; Luke/Lorelai, Gilmore Girls] but I couldn't get it to work and it sucked and then I got the idea to do a dark layout with black the background and dark grey text areas and instead of the ships, pictures of MCR members in reddish.

so started that today, did the red members and the like... box area around it was going to be redder, but I wanted it lighter and more almost like a polaroid picture thing. And so it got tanner. theennnn the background of the boxes looked better red, and I changed the text area to dark red and totally cut out the gray I was going to work in. but... the red wasn't working either. finally I did the whole tan thing on a whim. still didn't look completely right, too light, so I did the words in soft light like I had done with the header. and voila! a million hours later [...wow, I've really been workingon this for like, 4 hours], this layout. and I'm reeeally proud of it :D hopefully it'll stay up awhile.

    wheee! :DDD

ok I'll stop making Annie wait and post this.

edit: btw, the words aren't a brush. And for the red part, they aren't even copied and pasted. The words in the red part are the lyrics from the My Chemical Romance songs "Helena",
Give 'Em Hell Kid", "To The End", "You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us in Prison", "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)", "The Ghost of You", and "The Jetset Life is Gonna Kill You". For the text areas, the lyrics are from "Thank You For the Venom".

edit2: "Michelle lost herself at [time]" is from the My Chemical Romance song "You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison"; the line is "But nobody cares if you're losing myself am I losing myself and well..." I <3 MCR :DDD

    ok done.

    French: er... not much. rar.

Science: Went through boring stuff :) I started thinking about Seth/Summer and last night's episode of The O.C. instead of paying attention. ...maybe this is why I'm not doing so well in science... hm.

English: Crucible multiple choice test. blah. Not too horrible.

    AP US: Notes.

Algebra 2: Homework, lesson, quizzes back. Got a 10/11, which is a 91, which is pretty good, considering I didn't know much.

    Wind Ensemble: played music. rar.

ahhh tired. Thankful it's the weekend. Spectrumming tomorrow? >:O rar, better be. Haven't been in over a month, and even then, it was the day of the Irvine Comp and it wasn't normal spectrumming. gah. must go -_____-

blah. I need to read my outside reading book for English. gack.

    Thursday, November 18, 2004

omfgggg dude ok so I've seen the video for "I'm not Okay (I Promise)" by My Chemical Romance before, but it was like... a live video, right? but since then they've made another like...non-live? bah. Some bands make like... 2 videos. Like when they're lesser known it's all concert footage and then when they're bigger they can afford to do a whole concept video and crap. and so My Chemical Romance did that but I didn't know, but I was watching Fuse and it came on and holy fuckkk it was awesome :DDD I <33333333 MCR :D

heeeeeee!!! that song just started playing right now on KROQ. ahhhh. Favorite band right now, hands down. ahhhhhh <333 I want MCR merch >:O

ahhh I want ot make icons of the video. rar, but I have homework that needs to be done. gah.

Science: lab. Wasn't bad, and we didn't have to do a lab report.

Office Hours: Sectionals. Except Andrew took the tenor I've been using home to practice and then didn't bring it back and so she had me sit there for about 20-30 minutes while the saxes played and I waited for his dad to bring the tenor -_____- gah.

    AP US: video. Boring. rar.

Wind Ensemble: ooh we didn't just play music! We sang! for like... the first half hour. woosh.

tiired. I have like nothing to say today :) I'm working on a layout, but I'm... not completely sure if I'm going to use it. It's all right and it could be good but... I just don't like it very much. rar. I'll have to see.

    rar.

    Wednesday, November 17, 2004

man. Tickets for the Acoustic Christmas went on sale at 7:00. Want to know when they sold out by? 7:04. I kind of forgot to ask my mom, but I did remember briefly a few times, and... eh I don't know. I just don't see my mom letting me, especially not at that price. soooo I'll possibly try to win some, and if not... -___- oh well. I'd really love to go, but... well, I have seen... like... a lot of the bands I really want to see. Green Day is probably the only one that I haven't seen that I reeeeeeeeeeeally want to see.

    blah. tired. stupid hw.

...-____- I want a new layout. well, I have had this one up since right after the Gravity Games, which was late September, which was like, forever ago. And now my computer doesn't die when I open PSP! so... I just need to find some inspiration. woosh.

    rar.

French: had a sub. Nothing much happened, besides Galaxy deciding to ask Bentley if there could be an AP Music Theory class, since Woodbridge and Irvine have one and she has open periods and... yeah.

Office Hours: er stood and walked around. At the end, attempted to memorize the formulas we needed to know for my math quiz. Then finished the French hw that's due Friday.

English: chose which essay [easy choice. The more I read the first one, the suckier it gets. There's absolutely no organization to it. It's just... like... traveling through the end of the Act with random quotes and crappy analysis.] for her to grade and then watched the end of the Crucible. easy period :)

Algebra 2: err got ice cream even though we specifically said we wanted it Friday. Oh well. It was good, though, because they bought it from like... Costco or whatever and wasn't that fake crap they gave us at ice cream parties in middle school. And they brought chocolate syrup and a lot of sprinkles. so yes. nice. And then the quiz. Wasn't too bad :) wheeee. I was totally stuck for like a minute on what the formula for an arithmetic series was, but then I got it.

omfg I haaaave to go to Night 2 of the KROQ acoustic Christmas O_______O Night 1 there were some bands I would want to see, but omfg night 2? Good Charlotte, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Social Distortion, Sum 41, and The Used [along with 4 or 5 others that I don't care as much about, but all of them I like]. Night 1 is sold out already. Not sure when Night 2 goes on sale. I fucking haaave to go omfg o_____o I don't care how much it costs [oooh maybe I could ask for it as an early Christmas present?] but omfg I really want to go. ahhh 7 pm tonight it says it goes on sale. crap. I hope I can convince my mom to buy me those tickets by then -____- doubt it. plus, KROQ events tend to be really expensive [Weenie Roast like... $50? ish?]. alskjfklasjfd I soooo want to gooooo.

crap it's on a Sunday at Universal Ampitheater. That's kind of far, I think. [checks] it's 52 miles, which is roughly 58 min, according to mapquest, a little more possibly. well, that's not tooooo bad. gah it's Los Angelesish though, and my mom said no more LA concerts on Sunday nights because last time a few days after I got sick [...well it was RAINING outside! It won't be raining Dec. 12! ...yes, I am psychic and can predict this]. but fuck, I want to go. Doubt I can, but I might as well ask. Worse that happens is no worse than if I don't ask at all, and it's worth a try.

holy fucking crap O___O;;; tickets are a freaking $64!!!! geezzz. I doubt my mom would say yes on that alone. I already owe her a bunch of money for the other concerts which I'm paying off by doing bird cages every weekend, but I haven't had time to what with Vegas and all the crap last weekend. craaap. man -___- I really want to go, though.

...my boombox randomly turned itself off o_O that's... kind of freaky...

wheeee! I come bearing pictures from Vegas and Disneyland! :D rar some came out horrible grainy and crap. Stupid flash/lack of flash. Stupid disposable cameras >:O

    Las Vegas!
1 Cups/trash from Nathan's Hot Dogs. Wasted picture taken by Jackie >:O
2 Jackie/Emma in front of Lance Burton show theater at Monte Carlo. In retaliation for wasted photo, I took a wasted photo of Jackie! bwahaha! [evil mastermind] ...or... not.
3 Soan/Jackie in hotel room. Oh my! They are doing the thing, with the thing. ...yeah, don't remember what it's called.
4 Soan/Jackie in hotel room. Oh my x10! Still playing the the I don't know the name of.
5 oh my. From left to right, RichardH/Rosa/NathanB/IanA/Andrew/JonathanY/Tseng/JasonG/Seung/Jessica/Cindy/Justin/Luke/Stephen/Jackie. Didn't include people that I couldn't see who they were for... obvious reasons. At comp, side near food stuff, gambling [oh my!!! well, it is Vegas. And Austerman came by and didn't care].
6 Jackie/Mike/Jessica, Justin. Justin plays air hockey against Andrew as everyone else looks on.
7 Jackie! at Excalibur in Vegas while eating lunch [well kind of after]. I think this was the point where I was frustrated that I had only taken 6 pics out of 27 in 3 days and took a few randomly.
8 Emma/Nathan. Same place, same reason. Didn't come out so well. blah
9 Andrew/JasonJ/Justin/Seung. Playing some sort of cards at the same place. rar. Same reason.
10 Tseng/Jin[I think]/Jessica[?I think]. Decorating Mike with dragons because... didn't want to have to carry them all, or something. Same place.
11 Mike Tseng's waist. Dragons again, this time they had all been arranged around his waist. Same place. or maybe this was when we were walking in the Luxor to go to the buses? not sure. yes.

    Disneyland!
1 Nathan/Jackie/Justin. Nathan looks proud of himself [hee that's an amusing pose], Jackie blows on a map, and Justin looks shocked.
2 Hands of Andrew/Emma/Jackie. rar this turned out crazy. It's supposed to be Andrew and Jackie's pinkies, but they look like they're melded together into one super double hand thing. :O!!
3 Andrew. This was supposed to be a crazy picture of the thing that sticks out of Andrew's neck, but the flash ruined it -__- so now it's just a picture of Andrew randomly pointing at his neck.
4 Jackie/Justin/Andrew'sArm. Justin has Jackie in a chokehold [..except not really] and Andrew points at Jackie's cheek.
5 Andrew'sArm/Nathan/Emma/Jackie. Andrew pokes at Jackie who doesn't look incredibly amused as Nathan and Emma... er... stand in the background. wheee.
6 Justin/Jackie/back of MikeTseng's head. Justin eats his breadbowl as Jackie looks on in amazement. Or amusement. or... something.
7 top of Justin's head/MikeTseng/Andrew/Jackie/Cindy. Mike shoves a plate in Cindy's face as everyone else eagerly watches.
8 Justin! Justin looks pretty in a pink princess hat. hee his expression is amusing. It's more amusing in the actual picture because the brightness/contrast isn't messed with.
9 Andrew/MikeTseng/Justin. All three look pretty in pink princess hats! Actually, they all just looks kind of strange. except for Andrew, who looks more creepy than strange.
10 group(minus Nathan)!me/Justin/Cindy/MikeTseng/Andrew/Emma/Jackie. We all have hats! ...if... you hadn't noticed.
11 Jackie/Andrew. Disneylaaaand!!! Jackie and Andrew perform the Disneyland pose. hee. we did that all through Thunder Mountain :D
12 Richard/Seung. rar, they stole Mike&Cindy's hats! flash kind of ruined it -____- In front of buses before going back to the park, after the parade.
13 Justin/Andrew. Playing air hockey once again! At the place thing in Tomorrowland. roar.
14 Justin! Justin rides a horsie!
15 Andrew/Justin/Jackie. Andrew and Justin compete on the horsies as Jackie urges Justin along.

and that is all. >:O rar. disposable cameras suck >:O

ahhh I feel so much more stress-free now that this day is over :) And I have a severe lack of hw [which is a very good thing].

French: er... I totally remember French, shut up >:O i just... don't... want to tell you! so there! >:O

Science: holy fuckola :O I got a 40/44 except I got a 41/44 really because there was one marked wrong that shouldn't be wrong, which is a freaking 93! on my science quiz yesterday [well, the scantron part]. Aaaand Tiffany and I [..well really Tiffany, 'cause I did absolutely nothing -___- sorry T_T I'll do stuff now that I have no marching band!] got 20/20 on our science fair checkup thing. And I got 30/30 on my hw packet somehow [...i think it was out of 30. I forget] even though I was missing crap. wheeeeeeeeeee. [happy] My grade only went up to a 87.7 from a 87.2, but that's not bad. Rounded up, it's a 88, which is a B+! yes, I am within distance of an A- [an 89.5!]. And that's without the 20/20 on science fair checkup. And as long as our science fair is good, my grade could shoot up with the science fair, because he said it's a large part of our grade. awesome. So there's hope for science. Small hope, but hope. otherwise... didn't do much.

English: essay! >:O rar. Not so bad, actually. My essay is definitely better than last time. I have a topic sentence and everything! And my conclusion isn't complete crap [though it is partial crap]. Definitely having this one graded. rar, but I had to adapt all my quotes and crap to what Proctor hoped to gain rather than what motivated him to give up his life. It doesn't sound much different but it ended up being like that. I worked in that it boiled down to respect. Hopefully it's all right. After going through this all, my last essay was definitely C-quality. I think this one might actually be B-quality or above. wheee.

AP US: alsfjdlk I actually studied for this test! a lot! rar. The short answer wasn't bad, but it never is. I actually knew what happened in all the battles, too [proud]. but the multiple choice UGHHHH. -____- rar. I read the book too! It took me 3 freaking hours, and yet I did! gah.

Algebra 2: lesson. homework. blah. I actually do like Algebra 2 a lot, it's one of my better classes, it's just... really boring to talk about.

Wind Ensemble: music. wheee. I'm really liking the tenor x_x Like back in July when I first started [late June? whatever, close enough] it was all "Gack! I'll never get this! she lieeed I hate this stupid instrument!" but I like the tenor parts better and, right now, I find tenor easier than bass clarinet. though that could be in part because the bass clarinet I use is absolute crap. :) but... still. hm.

    tired.

ooh I have pictures from Vegas/Disneyland! I shall post in like... an hour or so! wheee :D

    Monday, November 15, 2004

alkjsfd;k gahhhh!!! >:O I've got all my quotes except one on "Refuses to shame children". The only mention of children are:
    Proctor: The child?
    Elizabeth: It grows.
Proctor: There is no word of the boys?
Elizabeth: They're well. Rebecca's Samuel keeps them.
Proctor: YOu have not seen them?
    Elizabeth: I have not.

like... that's not easy to adapt to that idea -___- maybe I need to read between the lines more. Or maybe I can adapt that whole "name" speech to it. Though I'm already using 2 lines from it for different topics, so that may be pushing it.

blah. -___- I need to do well on this essay, too. raaaar.

    rar.

French: wrote essay in groups. blah. I hate that we can't choose our essay groups. I don't know why that is. like... oh... all the smart people will band together or something? but... who cares? Because theoretically, everyone's supposed to contribute to the essay so it shouldn't matter who's in who's group and I konw I'd write a better essay if I was with people I knew and liked than with random people. gah. and she always does it the same way, and it makes it impossible for me to ever be in a group with Galaxy, which really sucks >:O

Science: quiz wasn't too bad for me not knowing like... anything about it. It helped that the majority of the short answer questions were on osmosis/diffusion, which is the one part of this unit that I actually understand. The only short answer I completely BSed was the one about the primary and teritary and whatever structure. But I wrote something, so I'll get at least 1 point, which is 1/4 which... could be worse. Multiple choice was somewhat difficult, but not any moreso than usual.

English: went over essay stuff. She told us ways to write a conclusion, but they all seem rather difficult, besides the first, but she said that way won't get us an A. so blah. I think I'm going to do the questoin/answer one with the question she gave us [...though I forget what the question was. whatever, I wrote it down]. rar. essay prep tonight! not so fun -____- I have to do this one well because, looking back, my last one reeeally sucked, and it'd be horrible if that one was graded. gah.

AP US: notes. need to study! bah -____-

Algebra 2: stuff. with.. math. and. stuff. >:O

Wind Ensemble: gahhhh. ok, so Wednesday night, right before I left for Band Spectacular, I took out my music folder from my backpack because I needed to get This is My Country and Stars and Stripes Forever out of it. And then I dropped the music folder on the seat and the backpack was still in the car. But later the backpack was removed from the car and the folder somehow slipped to the floor of the car. Aaand I forgot about it completely. sooo today, I went to get out my music, and.. NO FOLDER! [dun dun dun!!!] rar. But Mr. Austerman was in the office and Bentley wasn't even like in the room so I told him what happened [er but much shorter than this version] and he got me all the pieces except... he couldn't find Salvation is Created. Guess which piece we worked on first and the most? yes, Salvation! -____- Luckily I don't have a part that stands out [...except I am supposed to play the trombone cues at this one part, but I think she forgot the first time we went through. After the first time, we didn't go through that part again] so I just kind of... played notes quietly. I actually figured out some of them! I was able to figure out the notes that were in the held chords, which was good. she never figured it out, thankfully. :) And then we played In Heaven's Air, which I had, so all was good. I wasn't sure what would happen when I returned the music, but luckily Austerman returned to the office and Bentley went to tend to something else quickly, so I was able to give it back then. wheee :) How skillfull. I just... can't let that happen again :)

whoaaa no marching band! Kind of sad, but nice to be able to go home 1 1/2 hours early. That's 1 1/2 more hours I have to do homework/study! ...although I probably won't. But still! I have the oppurtunity to do more studying!

    woosh.

    Sunday, November 14, 2004

wheee! Third place at an icon challenge with this icon. :DDD winning graphics stuff always makes me feel awesome. Ah I want to enter more graphics stuff, but I always forget or don't have time to make anything or whatever. rar.

hm. I really shouldn't have left all my homework till today. Not much I really could've done about it, other than doing hw Friday before the game, but... still. I still have the science quiz to study for -____- gah. But I would rather be making icons and reading TWOP and crap. stupid school >:O at least the week after this is Thanksgiving break, and we'll have a 4-day weekend that I can actually relax on. Plus, the Saturday of that break is Yellowcard/Starting Line concert at Bren Events Center. so yes. :)

    rar. Science is annoying >:O

    Saturday, November 13, 2004

man, Capo Valley Comp was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.

omfg geez Kim&Austerman4eva. geez. so cute! ahhh. When that other guy had his arm around her, it was like... clearly... friend-y. At least, on her part. And they didn't hold hands. But then when Austerman had his arm around her, it was all cute and by the end she was all leaning into him and they were holding hands and it was soooo cute :D hee. ooh ooh! and at the end, they were like... blah I dunno, but he ended up blowing her a kiss which was really freaking cute :D hee. ...I think I'm too interested in their relationship. But then, so is the rest of band, so whatever :)

ah and then man. Pansing of Schmee. I wish I could've seen the look on Bentley's face when she walked up. duuude.

We got 2nd in color guard and 2nd in band, out of 3 bands, which really isn't too bad. I was expecting 3rd, so... 2nd is very good :)

Me, Jackie, Emma, Justin [I think?] and Andrew all shouted stuff like "We love you Annie" and "Annieeee!" and "We want your babies, Annie!" and such, but it was all at different times randomly and so she probably didn't hear. And then whenever we were by Woodbridge after that, Jackie and I shouted "Annie!" to see if she was around, but she wasn't [that we could see]. awwwwww. We need to hang out, Annie, or I'll punch you >:O

Cake, and a last visitation of the marching band field. ah.

Senior speeches weren't as good this year, but that was mostly because you couldn't hear them because of the drumline/pit people around practicing and also a bunch of people [mostly freshmen] were talking near the back. rar. But this year it was nice because it was like... really a last day of marching band for the seniors. Like last year, our last comp was Vegas so we had the senior speeches then, but other than that, it wasn't really... like... final, I guess? Because we still had a game the next week. And so it wasn't like... as much, I guess? rar. I can't express it. But then, this year, our last thing is a competition, so we had our senior speeches and then last bus rides and last performance and all, all on the same day. Plus, there was cake. so yeah. It was kind of nicer this year for them. And then last night they had the roses and stuff. So yes. Final band weekend for seniors. So I guess this year, in all, it really was a better final thing for seniors than last year. hm.

ah. so fucking cute *_* man.

mm, I'm in such a horrible mood :) The morning and afternoon weren't bad, despite... something, and I spent it just sitting and reading O.C. fanfics. But then we had a football game, and I just wanted to sit in my room and sooo wasn't in the mood for a mass amounts of teenagers. I think people were going to Denny's afterwards, but I didn't really care to and it's not as if anyone cared if I was there or not -_____- gah I need to stop this self-pitying crap. I'm tired.

You know what's a horrible feeling? When your hands are absolutely freezing cold, and then you go into a warmer place and all of a sudden like... they get super hot and start tingling. feels really uncomfortable.

This morning my mom took my bunny to the vet because he wasn't eating and she thought it was a digestive problem because she had changed to a different food brand or something, but it turns out there's fluid in his lungs and he may have some sort of heart condition. He'll probably have to be put to sleep soon, or... die slowly and painfully.

    I'm really tired right now.

    Thursday, November 11, 2004

    ...

I just scared myself, because I thought I had forgotten to tape The O.C. Then I realized, that I had just forgotten that I had taped it. rar.

...geez I'm tired. But I'll end up watching it now anyways :)

whee. Disneyland was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I was in a group with Jackie, Justin, Andrew, Emma, Nathan, Cindy, and Mike Tseng. The marchingness was better than last year too [for me]. Last year, my calves started hurting within like... 3 min, but this time they didn't hurt at all. wheee. last year it also felt a lot longer, but not so much this year. I scratched my cheek during one of the horns up with my reed, though -___- geez. those reeds are sharp. rar. hm we ended up going on like... what? 4 rides? I think. Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain [...I feel like the title of one of those is wrong, but I'm too lazy to check], Teacups, and Snow White. think that's it. went into the arcade place for awhile. Owned Justin at air hockey >:O rar air hockey is fun :)

but yes. Fun. Finished the pictures from my Vegas camera finally. I gave them to my mom, and she said we can drop them off tomorrow on the way to the football game. But she's taking them to the stupid place, so I won't get them till like Monday -___- or Tuesday, if they're not open Saturday. rar.

tiiiired. But a good day :)

    Wednesday, November 10, 2004

hm. Band Spectacular wasn't bad. Last year's was worse [although the one in 8th grade was better]. I saw Annie! yay! wheee I love you too, Annie :)

oh, but wtf alskfj I wanted to punch Mike Nichols at the end. :) wtf was up with that? we all get into spots in the block and he's all up front and then he comes back at like the last second and is all "Where's my spot, tenors?!" like... we were supposed to save him a spot [wth, geez, I didn't realize I was supposed to be thinking about you 24/7, Mike. Sometimes I'm actually focused on where I'm supposed to be. And if you wanted a fucking spot you could've told us, for one, or... got one yourself, like the rest of us did] and then, instead of going to an open spot in the back row, pushed my shoulder and said, "Sorry, I'm moving you to the back" [or I'm taking your spot, or something to that effect] and I was pissed because dude, wtf? and was all "...why can't you just... [points off randomly to spots]" and just as he was saying "Sorry, I want to stand next to my friend, Emma," Emma walked off to an open spot in the back. but geez, wtf? Why couldn't he just get his own spot there? I don't get why he felt the need to fucking move someone back out of their spot when he could've much more easily moved himself into an open spot at the back. geez. oh and THEN he started like... improvising during This is My Country and Stars and Stripes. And this wouldn't have been so bad if he sounded good, but he kept fucking up and it sounded awful and it's not as if he didn't have the music, he had a lyre with the freaking music right in front of him! geez! al;ksflkj gah -________- whatever. I'm glad marching season is over Saturday. After that, he'll have no official power [although I doubt that'll stop him -_-]

    rar.

here's to hoping Disneyland is fun.

    raaaar.

French: had a sub. This is bad, because we did a prepare-for-essay-Monday thing today and she had "differences and similarities between French and American teens" and it's supposed to focuse on the media and how French teens read the newspaper and American kids are apathetic and don't care, but the sub didn't know that and most of the people in class were being stupid, and so she was giving the most random things that won't help us at all. bah. We shouldn't do essay prep with a sub -____- then we watched more of that movie we've been watching since the beginning of the year, and it was getting pretty amusing. Only thing that sucks, is that we have to write crap about main character, plot, etc. rar. -____- left 15 min early to go to an orthodontist appointment.

Office Hours: Orthodontist appointment. ouch. my mouth fucking hurts -___- and I have another appointment next week, except it's during English, so my mom's going to try to change it so I don't miss or anything, or at least as little as possible. rar. And she was all "Oh the stuff isn't working, so we're going to put new wires on the top and bottom next week and then we'll check back in [...either she said end of the month, one month, or three months. I hope it's three] and if your bite hasn't improved, we'll do this stuff [and I got lost here, but it involved my tongue and caging it, or something that sounded equally scary] and if that doesn't work... we'll figure out where to go from there." ...maybe I should start wearing my rubber bands... hm. It'd be an idea.

    English: Watched The Crucible. fun.

Algebra 2: new lesson, homework. oooh, reverse order~ how crazy! ...yes. Ooh and my class won the whole... red ribbon week thing where you make your container for holding pennies cooler than everyone elses because this one girl was all "oh, I'm crafty, I'll do it!" and did it all herself and... yes. She's awesome, because that means the whole class gets an ice cream party :) I would've prefered a pizza party, like the people who got the most pennies got, since it's been pretty cold, and ice cream isn't the best in mid November. but oh well. I won't refuse free ice cream :)

last marching band rehearsal! ...people didn't focus well, and we didn't get much done. whoo. -___-

Band Spectacular tonight. rar. -__- I don't really want to go. blah. Hopefully I'll get to see Annie briefly, but I'm not counting on it.

Disneyland tomorrow. eh. Unsure. I guess it just depends on how the group ends up. Last year, I don't really remember. I think it was all right for the most part, but it was a kind of a... I don't know, odd group, I guess. hm. Hopefully it'll be good.

then football game and Capo Valley and then overrrr.

rar. I have an essay and a AP US test and a science quiz next week. -___________________-

    Tuesday, November 09, 2004

Tomorrow starts the weekend of doom. -___-

Science: blah. I'm so happy we don't have science again until Monday. rar. -___-

Office Hours: er sat and did my math hw. whee. Finished it, too. [proud]

AP US: notes. I actually don't mind taking notes when it's about like... the politics of the time. Politics in general really interest me, past and present. It gets rather boring when we talk about the economic crap, though. Social isn't too bad, but... blah. I don't CARE about the railroads. -___- and I hate the freaking Industrial Revolution. rar.

    Wind Ensemble: rar. played music.

I'm tiiired. ...I'm saying that like everyday. gah. I'll be happy when marching band is over. Finally able to go home earlier, won't have to deal with comps every Saturday and football games Thursday/Friday nights. Marching band's great and all, and come April, I'll be wanting it to be marching season again. But I wouldn't be able to stand anymore than 3 months of it. Just too much.

    wheeee.

    Monday, November 08, 2004

    [after marching band]
Jason Jin: [to me] Do you hate us?
    Me: [blink] o___O No? ...who?
Jason: Do you guys hate us freshmen?
Me: [awwww!] Nooo. We don't hate you, we just... upperclassmen get annoyed sometimes when freshmen don't do what like... comes naturally to us now, even when they're told.
Jason: I think they hate us 'cause we're messing things up and we're not winning anything.
Me: nooo we don't hate you! We didn't do that amazingly well last year either, we're just... a little less good this year. [understatement, but whatever]
Jason: I think you guys hate us.

and then Bentley opened the door and I rushed in to call my mom to tell her to pick me up 'cause were let out early. awwww that was sad, though. It was so random, too, 'cause I was like.. rushing to get to the band room so I could go home 'cause I had a headache and the only person near me was Jason and then all of a sudden he looked at me and was all "Do you hate us?" heee, he was amusing earlier too, when Bentley was all "Everyone needs to be sure to catch up with their homework and tests-", Jason: "O___O [loud gasp!]" heh.

    rar. lesson -___-

    tiiiired. -________-

French: er. stuff. oooh ooh I do remember that we got updated grades! I have a 94.3. rar. went up like 2 percent. nice.

Science: boring stuff that I finished my math hw during.

English: Quote quiz in which I got 15/18, which is an 83 -___- it brought my grade down from a 92.7272... [93 rounded up] to a 91.8. rar. I think I would've done better if I'd been in class on Friday when we read through. It's easier to absorb the lines and figure out who's saying what then, rather than just reading through. After all, I did get all the earlier quotes right. It was just the later quotes I had more difficulty on.

AP US: notes. rar. Test a week from tomorrow, and we're done with the unit now, so I have over a week to study. Not that I'll start studying tonight or anything, but it's nice to have time to be able to study. ...although I'll still end up leaving it until 10:45 pm Monday night.

Algebra 2: got tests back we took last Wednesday. I got a 100. o___o awesome. I thought I had done well, but I figured there were some stupid mistakes I hadn't caught [even though I did go back and check things super-thoroughly, which I guess worked out well]. wheee :) I'm proud of that. I haven't gotten a 100 on an individual test [excluding quizzes] since like last year, and I think that was the test where I figured out the answer by like guessing and checking and then I put down a bunch of random crap that he thought was work and got full credit on that [awww I miss Mr. Dawson]. so wheee :) otherwise did nothing.

Wind Ensemble: rar. boring. I'm tired. mm can someone explain to me what the difference between the Fall concert and the Winter concert is? Are we going to be doing just ensemble crap at the Winter concert? Because that's the only like... situation that I can see. we didn't have two concerts last year around this time, as far as I remember. hm. But then last year we started concert music a lot later.

tired. ;lakjdflkj yes. Finished my only hw during lunch. whee happy that our Thursday block is tomorrow. now I can just sleep for the rest of the day [...excluding the hour and a half I have to drive to and from my tenor lesson and the actual lesson itself]. bah.

    Sunday, November 07, 2004

    rar. back from Vegas >:O

Friday: bus ride up. Listened to CDs, read first chapter of Brave New World by Aldous Huxley [sp?], and wrote [part 3 of that fic I was writing back in June, Art of Growing Up. It's crap, though, and I like... get frustrated when editing and end up erasing everything and starting over, so I don't I'll use it; 2 new fics that have been floating around in my head. The first one was also crap, but the second isn't bad. A little editing and I think I'll post it. I think it just kind of... took me awhile to get into like... writing mode, 'cause... the crap fics I wrote first, and the all right one was the last one I did]. It wasn't entirely exciting or fun or whatever, but I didn't really expect it to be, and I enjoyed it in my own way. Saw a magic show at the Monte Carlo [...right?] that wasn't too bad. THe best part was the juggler dude, Michael something. He was actually amusing. The main dude was too flashy. The best part with him was when he pulled up like 10 kids on stage and talked about their clothing. All the non-flashy stuff was best. then... back to hotel. We stayed at Embassy Suites. Nice place. Got about... 3-4 hours of sleep that night. rar.

Saturday: comp! They claimed we marched our best show, but I don't really agree -___- at least, in the area I'm at, we've definitely performed better. I think though that usually, we're like... good in separate groups and together it's crap, but Saturday we just all sucked together, so like... in the group perspective, we were better, but... otherwise we sucked. We ended up getting an Excellent, which is good, because I was expecting us to get a Good. Didn't place, though. They had these Air-Gram things where you could like write something to someone and then they'd like... say it aloud whenever you specified, so I sent one to Annie for right before Woodbridge went on [it was like... "rar. I miss you. You rock. Do well."] but like the second they started mine, everyone in the audience started cheering for Woodbridge and didn't stop until they finished my thing -__- awwww. mm what else. Back to hotel, watched a SNL thing on presidential debates that was really amusing to me, then Jackie, Emma, and Soan tried to do whatever they had to do to prepare for a Kessler essay that's due like... Wednesday? but failed miserably. Got a lot more sleep [like... 7 or 8 hours]. ...I think that's it.

Sunday: Watched infomercials, then went to the Strip. bah. I think last year it was actually more fun -___- I don't know. The group this time was too big, I think, for me. I can't handle large groups -___- I'm fine with just a few people, but when there's a great number of people it's just... too much. And people were getting bothered by other people and blah. It was better when we went to Excalibur, but it wasn't that great, since I just kind of stood around watching other people win stuff. last year it was like... rar, I forget who. I know it was me, Jackie, Zi, and Michele Wong, and I think there were one or two other people, but I don't remember. Maybe Seher? I forget. We like... went to more places, and last year we were able to [or even if we weren't allowed, we did anyways] cross the street and see the Coke store thing and the stuff over there. blah. ooh but I got to see Annie for like 5-10 minutes, which was nice. :) uhhh then bus ride back where all I did was listen to music and try to sleep. Didn't sleep, but I watched Finding Nemo and then later Shrek 2. then... back home.

...I think that's it. In all, I think it was better than last year's, but only because last year I had a really crappy time because the first night I was feeling sick, and I felt a lot more left out and blah in general. The only really fun time at all last year was on the Strip, and this time I had more fun during other times. It's sad that it's our last Vegas, though. >:O I can't see why she can't just try to get pregnant AFTER we go to Vegas next year. but whatever. -___-

tired. -_____- rar. I'd say it's good that this week is only 3 days, but then... there's a lot of stuff these 3 days, and then Wednesday is Band Spectacular, Thursday is Disneyland [...I'm really not looking forward to it -__- I'd rather just sleep and relax and crap. I've had enough of large groups of people and excitement and such], Friday is a football game [all right, that's not so bad, since it's only at night, and I'll have the morning and beginning of the afternoon to do whatever], and Saturday is our last comp at Capo Valley. rar. Marching season is over after this week. rar, I was really looking forward to marching band starting a few months ago, but now... well, I'm not too upset that it's ending.

gah. need sleep. but I still have my math homework to do and I need to reread Act 3 of the Crucible because we have a quote test tomorrow. gahhhh. stupid school -__-

    Thursday, November 04, 2004

    Seth Ezekiel Cohen. hee.

    that is all.

wheee!!! new issue of AP, and My Chemical Romance is on the cover! eee :D

    Science: boring. lab. blah.

Office Hours: Sectional. uh... not much to say.

AP US: took notes all period.

    Wind Ensemble: played concert music.

...man, today was a dull day.

    VEGASSSS!!! :) wheeee.

uhhhh and premiere of The O.C. Season 2 tonight! aaaawesome. :D

    bah. tired.

    Wednesday, November 03, 2004

    heh.

and yet, as amusing as that is, it's also incredibly sad, considering that that's pretty much what it's come to.

    sigh.

please let the Democrats get reorganized. please let the Democrats win back seats in 2006. please let a Democrat be elected president in 2008.

    gah.

I find it ironic how the conservatives/Republicans all try to insult Kerry by calling him a liberal. I even heard Kerry called a "radical liberal" today. Then, on the liberal/Democratic side, loads of people were displeased when he was nominated because he wasn't liberal enough. how ironic. They try to please everyone, and they end up displeasing all sides.

    uh what else. ooh.

"We gave it our best shot. Senator Kerry today said that now we need to come together and heal as a nation. FUCK THAT. There's no fucking way, I am going to come together with these homophobic, flag-waving, god-fearing, gun-toting, uneducated, isolationist, ethnocentric REDNECKS. We live in a country that's in a shroud of ignorance. We do not compromise or come together with them. We fight them and everything they stand for. We as a community have to take care of each other and respect each other because apparently our current government has no interest in that. They do not care about gay people, they do not care about sick people, they do not care about black people, they do not care about poor people, they do not care about the rest of the world, they do not care about our environment, and they especially don't care about a woman's right to choose. We may have lost the battle, shit we may have lost the war...but we are not losing our minds. WE ARE RIGHT...THEY ARE WRONG...just because we seem to be the minority doesn't mean we come together with them. We continue to fight….and drink...and try to have a good fucking time. That's my plan anyway, thanx to you all, Fat Mike"

I'm split. Half of me is pissed, angry, in denial, whatever, and I don't want to fucking accept this election. I want to fight. I don't want to let this happen.

But at the same time, I know fighting's not going to solve anything [heh, how public service announcement of me]. Bush is going to be president, no matter how much we whine and bitch about it. Staying in denial won't change anything.

this doesn't mean to sit back and let the Republicans/conservatives take over the US by any means. This means we need to unite, we need to try to unify this country once again. But we need to still keep it strong. Keep fighting for the Democratic party, but not in such a way that the country completely splits.

...is this making any sense? I think I've crossed into being completely contradictory with myself. In short: we need to not bitch and whine and stay in denial. We need to fight for the party, keep it's strength up, keep trying to get Democrats elected in every election, no matter how small. But we need not stop letting this country get so divided. Fat Mike talks about not compromising at all. The thing is, we have to compromise. Nothing will be gotten done if both parties stick with what they want and refuse to compromise. It just won't work. We have to work with the Republicans while, at the same time, trying to rebuild the strength of the Democratic party.

    rar. off my soapbox.

I'm keeping myself informed. I'm not going to be one of those people who are all "well, now that the elections over, I don't really care what's going on in the news." And, by the next presidential election, I'll actually be able to vote, and I'll know exactly who I want to vote for and all the reasons I'm for them and I don't know. But I'm not going to be a stereotypical 18-24 year old who doesn't give a shit about the country and thinks it doesn't matter if a conservative idiot who thinks God talks to him is given control of one of the most powerful countries in the world.

    I'm tired.

...I need to start my homework. I still haven't gotten through all the LJ posts from yesterday -___- man.

Why Bush and Kerry are different and why I prefer Kerry:

  • Gay marriage. While Kerry is against gay marriage, he is for civil unions, and I think there's a much greater chance Bush would try to nationally ban gay marriage than Kerry. Besides, even if Kerry is not for gay marriage, it's not as if I'd vote for Bush instead based on that issue. Kerry might not be for gay marriage, but he definitely will do more for gay rights than Bush.

  • Pro-choice. Bush is for abortion only in the case of rape and incest. Kerry is pro-choice because he believes women should have the right to choose, as do I. Kerry would not elect justices to the Supreme Court that would make decisions against abortion and try to overturn Roe v. Wade.

  • The war in Iraq. I was strongly against it and still am. Iraq did not attack us, or even threaten to attack us. Iraq had absolutely no interest in us. Kerry did not flip-flop on this issue. I have heard this a lot. Kerry voted on a bill that would give the president the power to declare war on Iraq if absolutely necessary. Not at that moment, not at will. If necessary. Bush did not wait till it was necessary. He did not wait for the UN. He went off on his own. That is what Kerry opposes. He believes that Bush went before it was necessary. I also don't like Bush because he won't acknowledge that things are not going well in Iraq. He continues to claim that things are going to plan, that things are going just fine [uhhh if that's fine, I'd like to see your definitely of things going bad o_O] when it is clear that they are not. This is not just my opinion, either. Plenty of people whose word actually means something have stated that pretty much everything possible we thought could go wrong is. I do not believe Kerry would invade a country that has no intentions to attack us, or go off foolishly with no plan on how to get us out and rebuild the country. If Kerry was president in 2000, we would not be at war with Iraq, and I consider that a good thing.

  • Osama Bin Laden. Osama Bin Laden organized the 9/11 attacks. Not Iraq. Yet Bush rushed off to Iraq as soon as possible. The day of [or the day after?] the attacks, Bush immediately asked how/if they could relate it to Iraq. They were looking for an excuse to attack Iraq. I suppose this still goes in the war section, but whatever.

  • Allies. John Kerry has a much better chance of getting allies than Bush. The majority of the rest of the countries of the world [excluding like... Russia and Israel] wants Bush out of office. They are more fearful of us than they were of Iraq, with good reason. Who knows what we might do? I mean, one step out of line, and we'll attack them. Kerry's new, the other countries know that, and he definitely has a shot at getting allies back to us.

  • Economy. Bush killed it. -___- I realize that a lot of the problems of the economy do have to do with the 9/11 attacks, but Bush isn't paying enough attention to the economy, and I don't believe he's going to improve much of anything. I think Kerry's plans are better, and I think he has a much better chance of improving the economy. I don't really know incredibly much about the economy, so I can't really say anything else.

  • Public speaking. Bush can't form a complete thought when he doesn't have a script in front of him, and even then he's horrible at it. Bush is an idiot. He didn't get into the University of Texas [...or... whatever it's called] yet he got into Yale. Why? might've had something to do with his father and grandfather attending there. He got straight C's at Yale. I don't feel that Bush is intelligent in the slightest, and I would prefer a president who's more intelligent than me. I know I couldn't handle the presidency, so I definitely don't think someone that I feel is dumber than me can handle the presidency very well.

  • Separation of church and state. Kerry actually knows what this is. Bush tries to enforce his views on the nation. I want a president who understands that religion should be separate from government, since we do not live in a theocracy. I want a president who does not believe God talks to him and that he's following God's orders.

aaaand I'm done. There are other issues I could probably get into, but those are the major ones.

oh, and another: Kerry's just a classy guy. go to his site, you can see the speech he gave when he conceded. it's just so freaking... honorable, classy, respectable. I mean, even during the debates, particularly the first, Bush would roll right over what the moderator was saying, he would grimace [well in the first primarily], and he couldn't put together his thoughts. Kerry clearly outshined [..outshone? whatever. that's such a horrible way to say it, but I can't think of a better one] him.

    and now I'm really done.

klas;fj man I wish this were just some horrible nightmare.

  • oh, and btw:

fuck you Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Ohio, Utah and Oregon, all of which had the option to ban gay marriage on the ballot this year, and all of which chose to do so. I think I've ranted enough about my views on gay marriage that I don't need to do so again. so. fuck. you.

gah. fuck all you people in Ohio who are old enough to vote and chose not to, as well. especially those that would've voted Kerry. I hate you all. I hate this freaking country.

    al;skjdflkjasldkjasdflkj

I knew it was going to happen, but I still feel like shit.

French: whatever. talked a lot. too tired to remember the rest.

Office Hours: stood around, talked, briefly studied for math, went back to standing around and talking.

English: Act 3. rar. Then went over essays. I hope my next essay is a lot better, because not only does my conclusion suck, but I have no topic sentence and my quotes could be better. -____-

Algebra 2: for our mock election thing, it was something like 32 or 33% Bush, 67ish% Kerry [I couldn't hear during class because everyone was talking and no one cared but like me, but Jackie said it was something like that]. -____- I really wish our school decided the election. rar. uh test wasn't bad. I think I did pretty well.

my eye hurts. When I grabbed my tenor case after marching band, my tenor swung up and my face swung down and my mouthpiece slammed into my eye :) I closed it but... it's ow. And I have a small cut on the side of my nose that it hit. That hurts too. this has not been a good day.

I'm so fucking sick of hearing people say the election doesn't matter because they're the same. they aren't. I'm going to rant about this after I finish hw and check up on LJ and shit and explain exactly why I'm so strongly for Kerry over Bush. not that anyone cares. but I'm pissed, so I don't really care what anyone cares about.

damn. I was really starting to like... actually LIKE Kerry and Edwards. I was kind of... really enjoying the idea of this country under Kerry. but now we're stuck with 4 more years of the same shit. The only relief this brings is that after 4 years, this is absolutely it for Bush. and Cheney's in such poor health and such, that I don't really see him running/being elected in 2008. unfortunately, 4 years is a very long time.

I bet the rest of the world is staring at us with their mouths gaping open. "You could've gotten rid of him and you chose to stick with him?! After these long 4 years, a greater number of you voted to keep him in office?! Americans are idiots."

    I wholeheartedly agree.

    two things:

first, they need to stop pronouncing Ohio and Iowa the same, since I confuse them already and with the added similar pronounciation, it doesn't make it any more clear in my mind.

second, they need to not say "blah blah blah will be carried by..." because it always sounds to me like Kerry, so it's, for example, "Texas will be Kerry by..." and that sounds weird but I always think they'll tell me how much percent he won by so it's like "Texas will be Kerry by 900%" [har har. yeah, that's happening] and then it's like... wait a second, wtf?! ahhh!

yes. I'm still calling it for Bush -___- then again, I'm a pessimist by nature.

    rar.

I like how when I'm in the middle of watching the projected results of the presidential election, the phone rings and the message machine picks up and a recorded voice leaves me a message on how important it is to vote and to show support for whatever party they are [I didn't hear who it was for].

hee. that made me giggle a lot. I'm not sure why. I think I'm becoming delirious.

I still don't think he's going to win, though. -__________-

    -_____________-

I'm too cynical to be watching election coverage.

screw all you news stations who are afraid to call anything early because of the whole Florida thing last year. I'm calling it now.

Bush is going to win the election.

    please let me be wrong.

    French: er. not much. rar?

Science: same. It was all a blur. Kind of felt I had to throw up because I was all nervous about essays.

English: Wasn't bad. My essay is actually pretty decent until you get to the conclusion, which is crap, because I don't know how to write a conclusion. rar. I'll make an appointment at office hours with her or see her or whatever and have her help me because Buckner told us totally wrong.

AP US: actually better than the English essay. We had 2 prompts and I chose the one on manifest destiny and how the US thought they were being all cool and had the right to do it, but they stepped on anyone in their way and didn't care. It was easy. I used the Indian Removal Act, the Oregon Territory and 54 40 or fight slogan, and the Mexican-American War. And it's only worth 10 points and you get 5 for like showing up, so I think it's all right. The other prmopt I had no clue on -___- thank god we got to choose.

    Algebra 2: rar. nothing new.

Lunch: wheee. voted in the simulation voting thing. I voted for Kerry, which I'm sure is a huge shock to everyone who knows me. annoyed that they didn't have any other options but Bush or Kerry, though. I mean, I can udnerstand not putting Nader solely because Nader's not on the ballot in CA or in every state, but... dude... there are other parties that ARE on the ballot: Libertarian [Bardanik or something], Green, Socialist, etc. -___- rar.

Wind Ensemble: talked about Vegas. wheee this weekend! how crazy! :)

    Marching Band:
Bonilla: [to Austerman] uhh this guiding to the diagonals thing isn't really working.
Me: er, yeah. I'm supposed to be two off the 20 [points to a spot half a yard away].
Austerman: -__- I know. [muttering kind of] I'm just trying to do what Bentley says.

heh. for some reason I'm amused that he said Bentley rather than Mrs. Bentley or even Gayle. they usually refer to each other with the Mr./Mrs. thing in front of their last name.

...I still have a bad feeling next year it'll be all of a sudden "Oh no! Where's Mr. Austerman?!" and Bentley will be all "...er... he had... er... somethign came up... [shifty look]."

rar. I was going to be all "omg thankyouthankyouthankyou" after he fiiiinally had the lines in the 3rd movement after the 1st block fix the lines because they're always so incredibly off, but then when we did a run through at the end, they fell back to the incorrect spots. -____-

    I'm tired.

pleeeeeeeeeeeeease Kerry. no, they are not the same. yes, it does matter. alkflkj please -_________-
